Description
Transplantation of one or both lungs from a donor. Last-resort option for end-stage BO patients whose quality of life is severely impaired despite all treatments. Transplant offers a chance to regain respiratory function but requires lifelong immunosuppressive therapy and carries a risk of chronic rejection (which can itself manifest as BO of the graft).
