Brand name for salmeterol. Long-acting beta-2 agonist bronchodilator (LABA) that keeps airways open for 12 hours. In BO, used as maintenance therapy to prevent bronchospasm. Should not be used alone: always in combination with an inhaled corticosteroid to avoid masking uncontrolled inflammation.
